Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of a wide range of dairy products and other consumer goods, such as Cowbell Milk, Loya Milk, Miksi Milk and other quality brands has launched its latest addition into the market called Sun Vita Cereal, a zip-lock packaged ready-to-go cereal.

Cowbellpedia 2018 Mathematics Champions ends with winners from Ogun, Rivers States

A flag of fame was raised for Ogun and Rivers States last weekend following a spectacular performance by their representatives who beat all competitors to be crowned junior and senior champions of the 2018 Cowbellpedia Secondary Schools Mathematics Television Quiz Show.

Akinfoluhan Akinleye of The Ambassadors College, Ota, Ogun State pulled a total of 90 points at the junior category, while Chinedu Mgbemena of Graceland International School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, emerged the senior category winner.

Promasidor Nigeria closes on N5.6bn loan to support growth

Promasidor Nigeria Limited (PNL) has obtained a N5.6bn loan from the Bank of Industry (BoI) to support its expansion programmes.

Mr Per Kristensen, Promasidor Nigeria Finance Director, said the facility would be used to acquire additional machinery, factory expansion and value chain development, which would create jobs for Nigerians and increase the company’s capacity to support the country’s economy.

A statement attributed to the finance director was quoted as saying that repayment of the loan was structured over seven-year tenure, including a 12-month moratorium.

Promasidor honours employees with long service

Promasidor Nigeria Limited, makers of Cowbell Milk, Top Tea, Onga and other quality products, at the weekend, celebrated 254 of its staff who have been with the company for over 10 years. The award ceremony, which was held in Lagos, brought together the company’s employees, relatives, and distributors from different parts of the country.

FG sets up committee to create policy framework to boost dairy industry

The Federal Government said it has constituted a stakeholder’s committee to develop a policy framework to boost the dairy industry.

The Minister of State for Industry, Trade and investment Hajia Aisha Abubakar, said that the objective is to attract and achieve local participation in the dairy business; ensure local content development of dairy; encourage joint venture opportunities across strategic segments of the dairy industry and provide financial relief to boost local growth through the participation of women and youths in the sector.

Promasidor Nigeria Limited, the maker of Cowbell Milk, Onga seasoning and other products has unveiled a new addition to the Cowbell family, Cowbell Evaporated Milk.

The company said it is part of its quest for the wellbeing of Nigerians and to reinforce its flagship proposition as well as drive awareness initiatives for complete healthy breakfast.

Promasidor wins ‘Best Kept Industrial Premises Award’

Food and beverage firm Promasidor Nigeria Limited (PNL) has won this year’s ‘Best Kept Industrial Premises Award’ also known as ‘Total Compliance Inspection Competition’.

The award, which is organized by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), tries to address risk governance deficit in the industrial sector by rewarding best practices towards enabling and maintaining clean and safe work environments in industries.

Striking workers in Food and Beverage sector suspend strike following mediation by Labour Ministry

Workers in the nation’s food and beverage sector called-off their strike on Wednesday following an intervention by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to mediate between the warring groups.

The strike which began on Monday when members of the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association (FOBTOB) downed their tools to protest their inability to reach a new collective agreement on wages and other fringe benefits with the employer’s association, the Association of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employers (AFBTE). Members of FOBTOB were seeking among other things an upward review of their salaries by 20% instead of the 14% agreed to by AFBTE.

Promasidor Nigeria names Einarsson as new Managing Director

Promasidor Nigeria Limited announced on Tuesday the appointment of Mr. Anders Einarsson as its new Managing Director, taking over from Mr. Olivier Thiry, who has now been moved up to the chief executive officer position.

A statement from the company, said that until his elevation, Einarsson served the organization diligently as chief operating officer (COO). He joined PNG in 2013 as Strategy Director and was later promoted to the Finance Director position.
