The National Union of Food Beverage and Tobacco Employees (NUFBTE) celebrated the commissioning of the second phase of the Food Union Hotels and Suites, on August 12, 2016 in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos State.
The project which was conceived by NUFBTE was officially commissioned by Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, alongside the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Dr. Ayuba Wabba.
The National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees, (NUFBTE) on Friday said that La Casera Company has rehired the 700 workers it sacked in September.
The head of Education Department of NUFBTE, Mike Olarenwaju, confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
Mr. Olarenwaju said the management of La Casera met with the union members to resolve the dispute and that the workers had been asked to start work.
The Lagos Division of the National Industrial Court has granted an ex-parte injunction restraining the management of La Casera Soft drinks or anyone acting on their behalf from terminating the employment of its workers for wanting to join the National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees (NUFBTE).
