Cadbury’s Oreo cookie makes Guinness World Records

Oreo cookie, one of the brands of Mondelez International, the parent company of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, has made it into the Guinness World Records.

In a statement, Cadbury Nigeria noted that the Oreo cookie brand reached a major milestone of $3.1bn in annual net revenues by the end of 2019.

Cadbury Nigeria names Oyeyimika Adeboye as new Managing Director, Ogaga Ologe as Finance Director

Cadbury Nigeria Plc on Tuesday announced the appointment of Mrs Oyeyimika Adeboye as the company’s new Managing Director effective 1st April 2019. Mrs Adeboye takes over from Mr Amir Shamsi, who will take on a new role within Mondelēz International, the parent company of Cadbury Nigeria.

Mrs Adeboye would be the first woman Managing Director in Cadbury Nigeria history. Her appointment attests to the Company’s commitment to promoting gender equality, diversity and inclusion.

Cadbury launches new lifestyle programme for families

Cadbury Nigeria Plc on Thursday announced the launch of a healthy lifestyle programme aimed at bringing nutrition education, active play and fresh foods to at-risk children and their families in Nigeria.

The firm said it was joining nine other countries in the Mondelez International family in this initiative, which would involve $50m a-year commitment to promote healthy lifestyles and address obesity.

Mondelez backs out of bid to acquire Hershey

Mondelez International, Inc, the US-based global beverage and confectionery behemoth behind such names as Cadbury, among others said on Monday it was backing out of a $23bn bid to acquire US chocolate candy maker Hershey.

Cadbury inaugurates new N10bn factory

Cadbury Nigeria Plc, makers of Bournvita among other beverage products, on Friday, 16 October 2015, commissioned a new manufacturing plant at its Agidingbi, Ikeja site in Lagos.

The new ultra-modern production plant was commissioned by the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.

The new factory would enable the company raise its capacity by nearly 37 percent to meet rising demand for its food-drink and Bournvita.
