NB builds staff Quarters in fulfillment of pledge to winner of Maltina Teacher of the Year Award

The Federal Government has applauded Nigerian Breweries Plc for its unyielding support to the development of education in Nigeria.

While speaking at the commissioning of a block of staff quarters built by Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Onitsha, Anambra State, the Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Anwukah, said that Nigerian Breweries has demonstrated an unshakable resolve to ensure the nation’s growth and development by investing in educational infrastructure and encouraging teachers and students.

There is a high level of excitement and anticipation among teachers in the nation’s secondary schools and other education stakeholders as the October 20 date to reveal the 2016 winner of the Maltina Teacher of the Year draws near. In fact, Nigerians are anxiously awaiting the results of the work of the panel of judges who will choose the best teacher in Nigeria for 2016.

FG Partners Nigerian Breweries on Annual Maltina Teacher of the Year Award

The Federal Government has indicated an interest in partnering with programme organizers of the annual Maltina Teacher of the Year Awards, Nigerian Breweries Plc.

The government said the partnership would be formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the programme and ensure its sustainability.

Entries deadline extended for 2016 Edition of Maltina Teacher of the Year Award

Nigerian Breweries Plc said that it was extending the deadline for submission of entries for the 2016 Edition of Maltina Teacher of the Year Awards to Friday, July 22, 2016. The company said they had received many appeals from secondary school teachers across the country for more time to send in their entries.

The Corporate Affairs Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, who disclosed this in Lagos, said entries have been received from teachers in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Anambra Teacher emerges Winner of Maltina Teacher-Of-The-Year

The quest for the best teacher in public secondary schools in Nigeria came to a glorious end at a grand ceremony in Lagos on Monday as a 37 year-old teacher from Anambra State, Mrs. Rose Nkemdilim Obi emerged winner of the maiden edition of the Maltina Teacher-of-the-Year.

The award instituted by Maltina, the non-alcoholic malt brand from the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc, is courtesy of Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund. It is aimed at restoring the pride of teachers and the dignity of the teaching profession.

NB Maltina launches Teacher-of-the-Year Award to celebrate teachers

Maltina brand, a non-alcoholic drink from the stables of Nigerian Breweries (NB) has launched a “Maltina Teacher-of-the-Year Award to recognize, celebrate and motivate teachers of Public Secondary Schools in all 36 states and the FCT.

The award which is being conducted on the platform of Nigerian Breweries – Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, is meant to restore the pride and dignity of the teaching profession.
