Grand Oak CEO, Odesile, to step down

Aare Fatai Odesile, the CEO of Grand Oak Limited is to step down from his post effective end of September.

His resignation comes after 27 years of meritorious service at the Nigerian Distilleries Limited (NDL) and Grand Oak Limited (GOL), two indigenous spirits firms owned by the Lexcel Group of Companies.

Odesile started his career with the Lexcel Group as a Quality Control/Production Officer with NDL in 1992 and rose through the ranks to the position of Managing Director/CEO of Grand Oak Limited, the marketing arm of Nigerian Distilleries Limited in 2016.

The Managing Director of Grand Oak Limited, a marketing wines and spirits firm, Aare Fatai Odesile, has said that the spirits industry is being harmed by adulteration.

In a recent interview with the Marketing Edge Magazine, Odesile said that individuals are able to adulterate spirit brands due to the low barrier entry in the distillery sector.

Explaining further, he said that because recycled bottle business has become a booming business today, it makes it easy for some people “to sit at the corner of their houses, manually apply cork, used label and package fake gin and masquerade it as the original.”

Grand Oak fetes with Distributors as Lord’s Dry Gin gets a Makeover

Grand Oak Limited, a marketing and distribution company in the wines and spirits sector and a subsidiary of the Lexcel Group has re-launched one of its top brands, Lord’s Dry Gin.

The unveiling was at the company’s 2016 Distributor’s Conference, held recently at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac, Lagos.

The re-branded Lord’s Gin comes in a new bottle and more stylish packaging fit for consumers with a distinctive taste and classy style.
