Heineken introduces limited edition world labels in Nigeria

Heineken brand, the world’s most international premium lager beer has launched a limited edition world label in the Nigerian market. The initiative which is billed to run from June 2018 to 31st August 2018 is meant to celebrate the brand’s presence in 192 countries.

Phyno becomes new Brand Ambassador for Life Lager

Phyno has signed to become the new brand ambassador for Life Continental Lager beer.

The music crooner joins Flavour N’abania as brand ambassadors for the beer produced by Nigerian Breweries Plc.

The deal which was signed on 31st May 2018 at the brewer’s corporate headquarters in Lagos will see the new brand ambassador featuring in Life Continental Beer advertising and marketing campaigns and will also make special appearances at events.

Nigerian Breweries, NFF to sign Super Eagles sponsorship deal

Nigerian Breweries Plc has said it will support the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) as part of its contribution to ensure the Super Eagles of Nigeria are successful in Russia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The brewing giant in a statement said it will sign a sponsorship and brand deal with the NFF by next Friday to show its commitment to the country’s national team as it prepares for the June World Cup tournament.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Jordi Borrut Bel, noted that the company will be signing the deal with two out of its premium brands – Star Lager and Amstel Malta.

Star Lager adds FC Barcelona to its line-up of European football club partners

Star Lager, one of Nigeria’s leading beer brands from the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc, has added Spanish football club FC Barcelona to its roster of European football club partners as it tries to deepen customer engagement in Nigeria among football lovers.

In a press briefing at Camp Nou, Barcelona, the beer brand announced the partnership, becoming the club’s “Official Beer Partner” or “Official Supporter” in Nigeria.

Walter Drenth moves on from Nigerian Breweries Plc; replaced by Franco Maria Maggi

Walter Drenth, Marketing Director at Nigeria Breweries Plc has left his position and has been replaced by Franco Maria Maggi.

Before taking up his current position, Mr. Maggi was the Director of Marca Heineken Bohemia xx Stron from November 2012 to August 2015. He started his career as a Trainee in Heineken, Netherlands in November 2001 and rose to the rank of Heineken Branch Director in October 2010. He has been a director at Nigerian Breweries Plc since early this month, just before assuming his current post.
