Euro Global Foods rewards distributors, marketers at Champions Awards

Euro Global Foods and Distilleries, a subsidiary of Sona Group Nigeria Limited, recently celebrated its distributors and marketers who excelled in the course of their business partnerships with the company through the year.

Mr. Arjan Mirchandani, Chairman of Sona Group of Industries, while delivering his goodwill message noted that the award is a reward for hard work, passion and dedication.

Sona Group to unveil ethanol plant in January 2018

Barring any unforeseen hiccups, Sona Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in the beverage industry, biscuits, food and allied products among others said it has set a January 2018 date for the completion of a N3 billion ethanol plant it is constructing.

The group hopes to meet local demand of ethanol with a daily production capacity of 120,000 litres, which translates to 43.8 million litres per year.

Maltonic is back in the market after six years absence

Maltonic, a malt drink originally produced by Sona Breweries is back in the market after six years absence.

The brand first made its debut in 1986 as a drink fortified with vitamin C, the company said in a statement.

The drink went dormant in 2011 after the sale of Sona Breweries beer assets to Nigerian Breweries Plc. The ownership of Maltonic was transferred to Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited, a unit of Sona Group.

Euro Global nears completion of N3bn ethanol plant

Euro Global Foods & Distilleries Limited, said on Monday that it was nearing the completion of a N3bn ethanol plant, with 90% of the work already done.

The firm which is a unit of Sona Group of Companies said that the plant would enable it boost production once complete.

Euro Global Unveils St. Almanac Premium Cognac

Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited, producer of wines, spirits and soft drinks among others has introduced yet another product to the Nigerian market. St. Almanac Cognac brandy is a luxurious brandy blended with the finest imported cognac, matured in wooden casks along with grape brandy made from handpicked grapes, the company said.

Euro Global Introduces Power Bitters Lite

Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited, makers of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as Sabrina Gin, Amphora range of wines, Julius Tonic wine, among others has introduced yet another drink into the market, Power Bitters Lite.

Power Bitters Lite is a lighter version of Power Bitters, which was introduced into the market in February. According to the company, the Lite version has lower alcohol content.

Euro Global Food & Distilleries Ltd, makers of Savanna soft drinks, alcoholic-mix ready-to-drinks (RTDs) and spirits have launched a new multi-billion naira ethanol plant at the company’s facility in Ota, Ogun State.

The plant which took six years to build is said to be the largest single ethanol plant in Nigeria with a maximum production capacity of 120,000 litres daily, more than enough for the company’s daily needs. This means that the company can even export excess ethanol, the company chairman, Arjan Mirchandani, said.
