Firm threatens Nigerian Breweries with legal action over alleged intellectual property use

An Enugu-based engineering firm, Evanpower Engineering Limited, has accused Nigerian Breweries Plc (“NB Plc”) with reneging on payment of services rendered at its Ama, Enugu Brewery and for use of its intellectual property without compensation. The firm has threatened to go to court if NB fails to pay for the services rendered.

Pressure led us to re-purpose our Enugu plant – NBC

The Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has said that demand-side pressure on its products was the reason for the closure of its Enugu production plant.

The beverage giant, who is the sole bottler of Coca-Cola products in the country, announced in January that it was closing production at the Enugu plant and would re-purpose the facility as a material handling and logistic hub for the South East region.

Nigerian Bottling Company commissions Community Centre in Owa, Enugu

Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), the bottler of Coca-Cola products in Nigeria has built and commissioned a community centre in Ogwofia Owa community in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The commissioning which took place on 19th October was attended by top State Government officials, community leaders and various youth and women groups.

Gulder Ultimate Promo 2015 – Three cars won, 12 more to go

The first leg of the Gulder ultimate Promo in Enugu has just ended and there are two more winners of brand new Hyundai Elantra cars and many others won consolation prizes.

The winners of the two brand new Hyundai Elantra cars are Chinedu Odimgbe, 23 and Francis Njoku, 31.

Odimgbe, an undergraduate awaiting his NYSC call up beat hundreds of other contestants to win the Enugu leg of the Ultimate Chase contest on Saturday, September 26. Njoku, on the other hand, won it through the first raffle draw held on Sunday, September 27, 2015.

NB extends its ‘Star’ brand with the launch of ‘Star Triple X’

As competition heats up in the beer segment of the alcohol beverage market, Nigerian Breweries has unveiled a brand extension of its flagship beer, Star. The new beer is called ‘Star Triple X’.

Star Triple X is the result of a painstaking research embarked upon by Star lager beer; which had the brand asking consumers what more it could do for them. Consumers echoed that they wanted “extra”. Star “listened” and then responded with Star Triple X.

NB to empower budding entrepreneurs

Nigerian Breweries (NB) brand, Life Continental Lager Beer, has initiated an entrepreneur empowerment scheme valued at N12.5 million and called Progress Booster. The aim is to assist budding entrepreneurs in the South Eastern States.

The Marketing Manager, Lager and Stout, Mr. Emma Agu, while speaking with stakeholders (distributors, retailers and others) at the launch of the project in Onitsha recently, stated that Progress Booster was a radio inspired reality project meant to re-launch and reinvigorate the Life Continental brand in the greater South East market.
