Peak serves farewell breakfast to Super Eagles team as they head out to Egypt for the 32nd African Cup of Nations

Peak, the official milk sponsor of the Super Eagles served the team a sumptuous farewell breakfast in Asaba over the weekend as they departed for Egypt to partake in the 32nd African Cup of Nations tournament which is set to begin on 21st June.

Present at the breakfast session were all 25 players of the squad as well as officials of the nation’s football team.

Nestle buys Egypt’s Instant Coffee firm

Nestlé SA announced that it has acquired Egyptian Coffee firm Caravan Marketing Company SAE, which makes instant coffee brand Bonjorno, among others.

The terms of the transaction was not disclosed.

Caravan was started in 2003 as a marketing and distribution company and has since grown to include its own brands.

In the last five years, Nestlé has made significant investments in manufacturing and distribution facilities in Egypt at nearly one billion Egyptian pounds ($53m).

Egypt raises tariffs on imports including fruit Juices, Ice cream

Egyptian Government has begun the process of implementing higher tariffs on 320 commodities including fruit juices and ice cream with the aim to reduce imports and boost local production, the Finance Ministry said.

The Government of President Abdel Fattah al-sisi passed a decree to increase tariffs with the objective of creating the necessary climate to attract investment into the country and give a strong boost toward increasing productivity, as well as cutting imports.
