FG applauds FC WAMCO for pioneering local milk sourcing, development

The Federal Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Chief Audu Ogbeh, has commended FrieslandCampina WAMCO, makers of Peak and Three Crowns milk, for laying the groundwork for local milk sourcing and development in the country, and for uplifting the lives of Nigerian dairy farmers.

The Minister made these comments on Monday July 10, while visiting the company’s state-of-the-art local milk collection facilities in Fashola Village and Iseyin town, both in Oyo State. The centres support the company’s Dairy Development Programme (DDP).

FrieslandCampina WAMCO commissions new milk collection centre in Saki, Oyo State

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, makers of Peak, Three Crowns and Friso brands of milk and the pioneer milk manufacturer in Nigeria, has commissioned a fifth milk collection facility for its Dairy Development Programme (DDP) in Saki, Oyo State.

The facility was launched by his Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, on June 8, 2017 in Saki community, Oyo State.

FC WAMCO and Sahel Capital Partners Sign MOU on Collaboration to further Nigeria Dairy Development Programme

FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC and Sahel Capital Partners & Advisory have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on Nigeria Dairy Development Programme (NDDP).

The Nigeria Dairy Development Programme is a processor-led dairy programme collaboration between FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, Nigeria’s leading dairy company and Sahel Capital Partners & Advisory Limited. The programme aims to strengthen the Dairy Transformation Agenda of the Government by demonstrating proof-of-scale in Nigeria’s processor-led initiatives for dairy development as modelled by FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s Dairy Development Programme (DDP).

FG and Arla Foods sign MoU for dairy development

The Federal Government said on Wednesday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Danish dairy company, Arla Foods, makers of Dano milk, and the world’s fourth largest dairy company, to develop the dairy industry in Nigeria.

FrieslandCampina to invest N3bn in Dairy Development in Nigeria

FrieslandCampina announced that it would invest N3bn in its dairy development small holder farmer programme in Nigeria.

The investment was part of an agreement reached between the Federal Government of Nigeria and dairy giant, Royal FrieslandCampina of the Netherlands, during a recent two-day working visit by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, to the company.
