Coca-Cola rolls-out Costa Coffee RTD

Coca-Cola has announced the launch of its much awaited Costa Coffee RTD as the soda giant forges ahead with further broadening of its portfolio.

The company best known for its trademark Cola said that the new offerings will come in variants of Classic Latte, Caramel Latte, and Black Americano.

Coca-Cola has announced plans to make a push into coffee with the launch of Coca-Cola coffee later this year.

The company will unveil the new drink in more than 25 markets around the world later in 2019.

Commenting on its plans, Coca-Cola CEO, James Quincey, said: “Coke Coffee was designed to reach consumers during specific occasions and channels like the mid-afternoon energy slump at work.”

The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) said it has agreed to acquire British coffee chain Costa Coffee for $5.1bn expanding its reach into the global coffee market, where it has little presence. The acquisition also allows the soda giant to diversify away from its coke brand which has been experiencing declining sales as increasingly health-conscious consumers seek alternatives away from fizzy and sugary drinks.
