The Cocoa Farmers Association of Nigeria (CFAN) has called on the Federal Government to include cocoa drink as part of the school feeding programme across the country.
“It will be better if the FG can include it in the Home Grown School Feeding Programme for our school children.”

The once thriving enterprise, which has fallen on hard times in recent years said in a statement released to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), that it had not held an Annual General Meeting (AGM) or declared dividends over the last two years due to financial difficulties sourcing working capital to procure cocoa beans.
A new cocoa processing plant in Ikom, Cross River State is set to become operational by the end of December.
The new factory being constructed by Senator Ben Ayade administration will process 50,0000 tons of cocoa beans from the state and neigbouring West African countries such as Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea for export.
