Coca-Cola, NBC shine at 2018 SERAS Awards

Coca-Cola Nigeria Ltd and its sister company, the Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd (NBC) have emerged winners at the 12th Annual Sustainability, Enterprise Responsibility (SERAS) Awards. Coca-Cola won the best company in the Good Health and Well-being Category.

The company was recognised for its Safe Birth Initiative (SBI), aimed at tackling the high rate of maternal and newborn deaths in Nigeria.

Cross River State Government says it has mopped up all expired Coca-Cola products in shops

The Cross River State Government said it has removed all expired Coca-Cola products from major markets and drinking spots in Calabar and its environs.

The State Commissioner for Health, Inyang Asibong, said that a team from her ministry has been activated to mop up the expired products as she called on consumers to always check the expiry date of Coca-Cola before consuming it.

Asibong said that as she spoke, all expired Coca-Cola products in Calabar market have been removed due to the swift intervention of her ministry.

Coca-Cola, FG partner to launch N4bn ‘Safe Birth Initiative’ to tackle high infant mortality and maternal rates

The Coca-Cola Company has partnered the Federal Government to launch an initiative worth N4bn to address the country’s high infant mortality and maternal rates.

The initiative tagged ‘Safe Birth initiative’ (SBI), which is also done in conjunction with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Medshare International Inc, a non-Governmental organisation donated four units of 40’ foot shipping containers of life-saving medical equipment for the inaugural project to the National Hospital, Abuja.

Nigerian Bottling Company discontinues use of eco-unfriendly trucks

The Nigerian Bottling Company, makers of Coca-Cola soft drinks, said it has phased out trucks considered not to be friendly to the ozone layer.

The soft drinks giant stated that the decision to phase out such trucks that could pollute the atmosphere through the emission of ozone depleting fumes was in line with the company’s continued implementation of its corporate social responsibility content.

Coca-Cola Nigeria to host second edition of ‘Customer Appreciation Week’

Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited has announced it will host the second edition of its annual Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament as part of its global Customer Appreciation Week, to celebrate and acknowledge its loyal customers across Nigeria.

According to the beverage giant, the golf tournament will be held across three cities in Nigeria – Lagos, Ibadan and Abuja, and will be attended and contested by key stakeholders, distributors, customers and the media. There will be six winners emerging from the well contested 18 hole tournament for customers. The winners will get to travel on an all-expense paid trip to Mauritius to participate in the AfrAsia Mauritius Open Pro-Am Tournament in November.

Coca-Cola, Lagos State Government partner to empower 1,000 women

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), Coca-Cola Nigeria Ltd and its bottling partner, the Nigerian Bottling Company, have announced a partnership to empower 1,000 women in Lagos State.

The group said that through this partnership framework, the selected women would receive training in financial literacy and business skills as well as start-up capital to integrate them into the Coca-Cola value chain as retailers of the company’s beverage products.

NBC rewards winners of ‘My Million don land’ Promo

The Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC), bottlers of the famed Coca-Cola brand in Nigeria has rewarded 16 lucky winners of its ongoing empowerment scheme, ‘My million don land’.

The 16 winners were selected from the company’s local and retail hub partners following a series of open market activations and mystery shopping initiated in major markets across Lagos.

Speaking on the campaign, the Legal, Public Affairs and Communication Director, NBC, Mrs Sade Morgan described the new campaign as part of the firm’s commitment towards the empowerment of its trade partners.

NBC highlights business activities as it holds mid-year media brief

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) has said it will continue to improve on the quality and standard of its products to meet the needs of Nigerians.

The sole bottler of Coca-Cola products in Nigeria gave the assurance while holding a mid-year media briefing in Lagos to draw attention to its major activities since it came into the country.

The NBC Legal, Public Affairs and Communications Director, Sade Morgan, said that the company believes in customer satisfaction, and will continue to invest in the wellbeing of the consumer and improve on the quality of its products to meet their target.
