Coca-Cola Refrigeration Uptime Enhances Vaccine Access

Project Last Mile – a public-private partnership that shares Coca-Cola’s expertise to support African governments in the delivery of life-saving medicines and supplies to the communities that are most in need has launched a Cold Chain Equipment Maintenance Project in Lagos.

The project that is still in its pilot phase has been launched to support Lagos State’s immunisation program through sharing refrigeration maintenance expertise from Coca-Cola’s experience.

Ecobank to pay cash for Used PET Bottles

In marking its sustainability week this year, Ecobank Nigeria has asked residents of Lagos State to bring used plastic materials, soft drink and water bottles amongst others to its Corporate head office in Victoria Island, Lagos, in exchange for cash.

According to the bank, the objective is to remove non-biodegradable materials from the environment towards a healthy and safe living.

The bank stated that its target was to remove four million used PET bottles from the streets and drains of Lagos through this initiative.

Nigerian Breweries Plc has restated its commitment to making an impact in education, agriculture, health and the environment in the communities in which it operates as well as across the country.

This was made known by the company’s Corporate Affairs Director, Sade Morgan, during a media briefing at the weekend. She added that Nigerian Breweries is a socially responsible corporate organisation with a good track record of corporate social initiatives.

Morgan said that the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) since its founding in 1946 is driven by a vision to always “Winning with Nigeria” and that over the years, NB Plc has been very active in supporting national development aspirations in line with that vision.

Nestle Nigeria trains 30,000 farmers on sorghum, millet farming

Nestle Nigeria Plc, said it has partnered with the International Fertiliser Development Centre (IFDC) to train 30,000 Nigerian farmers on resilient farming of sorghum and millet over the past two years as part of its effort to source 100% of its raw materials locally.
