According to the company, the launch once again demonstrates the company’s continuous quest for innovation that meets the dynamic needs of Nigerian consumers. It would be the first time a mainstream juice brand is available in cans.

PZ Cussons Nigeria set to exit dairy business with proposed sale of Nutricima to FrieslandCampina WAMCO

British-based consumer goods company PZ Cussons Plc has announced the proposed sale of its Nutricima Nigeria dairy business.

In a statement, the company said it has exchanged contracts for the sale of the assets associated with Nutricima’s business to FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, an affiliate of Royal FrieslandCampina in the Netherlands. Under Nigerian law, completion of the transaction is subject to merger clearance in Nigeria, the statement read.

Champion Breweries post strong profit growth in full year, driven by surge in sales

Champion Breweries Plc reported strong profit growth for the full year 2019. The company’s profit rose to N169m from a loss of -N264m in the previous year, driven by a 45% rise in revenue.

Gross profit jumped by 62% to N1.92bn reflecting the strong revenue growth.

Selling and distribution expenses surged by 47% to N778m, helping boost revenue and profit.

Nigerian Breweries marks International Women’s Day; calls for gender balance

Nigerian Breweries Plc, the nation’s largest brewer celebrated International Women’s Day on March 9, 2020 at its corporate headquarters.

As part of activities commemorating the event, it organized a symposium at its headquarters, which was livestreamed across nine of its brewery locations and business units.

Nestle Nigeria appoints Juliet Ehimuan to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director

Nestle Nigeria Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs Juliet Ehimuan to its Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director. According to the company, the appointment became effective on 24 February 2020.

The company said that Mrs Ehimuan, who is the Country Manager for Google in Nigeria since 2011 has over 25 years of professional work experience.

She started her career in 1995 and has worked for several companies in Nigeria and abroad including Shell Petroleum and Microsoft United Kingdom, Strategic Insight Consulting Limited, which she started and Chams Plc Strategic Business Unit.

Nestle Nigeria ends fiscal 2019 with higher revenue and profit

Nestle Nigeria Plc has reported earnings growth of 6% for the full year 2019. The food and beverage giant said that profit rose to N45.6bn from N43bn in 2018.

The company benefited from a 6.7% growth in revenue to N284bn. Nestle was also helped by operating profit rise of 19% to N72bn.

The event honoured and rewarded the company’s outstanding trade partners who excelled in 2019.
