CHI launches new Chivita Lychee fruit juice

Leading juice maker CHI Limited has announced the launch of Chivita 100% Real Lychee Blend fruit juice.

According to a statement by the company, the lychee fruit is a sweet, exotic and delicate rare fruit that grows in subtropical regions of the world.

It has its origins in China where it is very popular. The fruit can now be found in most southeast Asian countries.

Drinking tea regularly lowers risk of cardiovascular disease – new study

A recent study has shown that drinking green tea three times a week could prolong people’s life and reduce their risk of having a heart attack or stroke by 25%.

The study which was published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, found that the antioxidants in the drink could help protect the heart and keep people healthier for longer.

Nestle SA to invest 2bn Swiss francs in recycled plastics

Swiss food and beverage giant Nestle SA on Thursday announced an ambitious programme to invest 2.0 billion Swiss francs (1.8 billion euros, $2.1 billion) over the next five years to reduce its use of virgin plastics in favour of food-grade recycled plastics.

The company said it also plans to invest in new types of sustainable packaging to meet its target of making all its packaging recyclable or reusable by 2025.

NBC names Matthieu Seguin as Managing Director

The Nigerian Bottling Company Limited (NBC) has announced the appointment of Matthieu Seguin as its new Managing Director.

Seguin succeeds Georgios Polymenakos who was appointed in August 2016 through October 2019.

According to a statement signed by the Public Affairs and Communications Director for NBC, Mr Ekuma Eze, Seguin was until his recent appointment the General Manager for Coca-Cola HBC Ireland and Northern Ireland for almost four years.

Coca-Cola Nigeria donates $100,000 for MEDIC

THE Coca-Cola Foundation has given $100,000 grant to Mental and Environmental Development Initiative for Children (MEDIC) to implement a Recycling Scheme for Women and Youth Empowerment (RESWAYE).

The company said it is a further testament of its commitment to empowering women, youths and building sustainable communities.

The Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission has cautioned water producers in the state to adhere to laid down rules and procedures.

The commission spoke through its Executive Secretary, Mrs. Funke Adepoju, who met with the executive members of the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) in Lagos State at a stakeholders’ meeting.
