Nigerian Bottling Company gives incentives to trade partners

The Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC), the sole bottler of Coca-Cola products in Nigeria recently held a series of giveaways and incentives for its trade partners.

Speaking on the campaign, the company’s Public Affairs and Communication Director, Mr. Ekuma Eze, said that as the year draws to an end, the campaign offers NBC the opportunity to express appreciation to its trade partners, by rewarding them for their efforts and commitment to working with the company to accelerate sales volume growth.

Int’l Breweries closes N165bn rights issue

International Breweries Plc (“IB PLC”) announced on Sunday that its N165bn rights issue will close on Tuesday 24th December 2019.

In a statement from the brewing company, it said that it has received the express approval from its shareholders and relevant agencies of government including the Security and Exchange Commission.

The application list for its rights issue was first launched on 5th December 2019. The exercise will see Anheuser-Busch InBev, the majority shareholder in IB Plc invest an additional N124bn ($341m) in the Nigerian subsidiary.

The Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA) has partnered Green Janitors Sustainability Initiative to rid Badagry Community of plastic waste during three months Pick-a-Plastic campaign which was launched on Saturday, December 21, 2019.

The sensitisation for the campaign at Badagry, which was initiated by Green Janitors and LAWMA, commenced on Saturday, December 14, as part of efforts at reinforcing the Blue Box programme of Lagos State Government aimed at ensuring a cleaner environment.

Two Nigerian entrepreneurs (former students of the University of Ibadan) and three research students from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, have developed a mobile software application to help dairy farmers perform better.

Named the ‘mDairy App’ according to the company’s spokesperson and Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Ore Famurewa, the effort is being made in partnership with FrieslandCampina WAMCO.

International Breweries Plc, the Nigerian unit of global brewer, Anheuser-Busch InBev has announced the resignation of its Managing Director, Annabelle Degroot and Finance Director Mr Zuber Momoniat effective 31 December 2019.

In a statement released by the company, it said that Degroot will be moving into a new role in Europe within the AB InBev Group.
