NAFDAC refutes claims of “Fan Yogo Gin & Ginger” in circulation

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said that its attention has been drawn to images of Fan Milk “Fan Yogo Gin & Ginger” supposedly containing 12.5% alcohol volume being circulated widely to the general public via social media.

The food and drugs regulator said that no such product is registered by the agency, is not known to the agency and is not in circulation in Nigeria. The agency further said that it has carried out a thorough investigation at the facility of Fan Milk PLC and can confirm that no such product is being developed by the company and no stock of packaging materials of the said “FanYogo Gin & Ginger” were found in the premises.

Nampak to sell Nigerian carton business

Nampak Limited, the South Africa-based packaging company with footprints in 11 African countries said it has reached an agreement with AR Packaging Group AB, a Swedish cigarette pack maker to sell Nampak Cartons Nigeria, a producer of high quality folding carton products for the tobacco, food and consumer goods segments.

Champion Breweries honours distributors, trade partners at Distributor’s Award

Champion Breweries Plc recently held its 2018 Distributors Award ceremony in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where dozens of distributors in different categories were rewarded with various gift prizes, including tricycles, fans, among others.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the Managing Director of Champion Breweries, Mr Patrick Ejidoh, said that for the first time since the company’s founding in 1979, it was becoming profitable and ready to start paying dividends to shareholders.
