Lagos to Partner FBRA to Rid Environment of PET Waste

The Lagos State government has indicated interest to partner with the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA) on the eradication of post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles that are improperly disposed thereby blocking drainages and canals in our environment.

The Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Babatunde Durosinmi-Etti, disclosed this through the Assistant Director of Environmental Services, Mrs. Tolulope Adeyo in an interview in Lagos recently.

Adeyo said the issue of waste has been of great concern and that any initiative to eradicate it, like FBRA’s waste collection and recycling scheme, is quite appreciated.

Star Lager ‘United We Shine’ promo ends making 250 consumers millionaires

Nigerian Breweries Plc (“NB Plc”), brewers of Star Lager Beer, said its millionaire’s promo tagged: ‘United We Shine’, which is designed to reward consumers of the brand has produced 250 millionaires.

The promo, driven by limited special edition bottles of Star with unique crown corks which were redeemed via mobile phone USSD codes, had over N300 million worth of prizes awarded to thousands of consumers during the promo.

Speaking on the concluded promo, Portfolio Manager, National Premium, NB, Mr. Olayinka Bakare said: “The United We Shine promo was aimed at celebrating lovers of the Star brand and fans of football that support the Super Eagles of Nigeria. We are delighted that thousands of consumers were rewarded through this promo and it was an immense success. Star will continue to support consumers and Nigerian football lovers in the days ahead.

FrieslandCampina WAMCO, ATP mark Independence Celebration with Nutrition Awareness Programme

Nigerian Breweries donates block of classrooms in Delta State

Nigerian Breweries Plc has donated a six-classroom block, library and conveniences to Mastercare International School, Asaba, through its Felix Ohiwerei Educational Trust Fund, in honour of the 2017 Maltina Teacher of the Year, Mr. Felix Ariguzo, who teaches at the school.
