Goldberg Lager to launch youth empowerment scheme for budding entrepreneurs in the Southwest

Goldberg Lager beer, a brand of Nigerian Breweries Plc, is set to unveil an empowerment scheme tagged Isedowo in Southwestern states on Thursday, 31 August 2017.

The scheme, which is designed to equip young Yoruba men and women with the support to grow their businesses, will be launched at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

Emmanuel Agu, Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout Brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, said that, in addition to the brand’s commitment to support the culture and tradition of the Yoruba people, it would use Isedowo to inspire entrepreneurship in the region, thus impacting employment and income generation.

AB InBev gets nod to merge its Nigerian breweries

International Breweries Plc (“IBPlc”), the Ilesha-based brewer owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) announced on Tuesday it has received regulatory approvals from the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and the Nigerian Stock Exchange (“NSE”) to merge with its sister companies, Intafact Beverages Limited and Pabod Breweries.
