The search for 2017 Maltina Teacher of the Year (MTOY) has gathered increased momentum as more teachers across the country have been taking advantage of the opportunity by visiting the MTOY website to submit their entries.

Organisers of the MTOY and various stakeholders in the nation’s education sector had, at the flag-off of the event last month, encouraged teachers in both public and private secondary schools to participate in the innovative award aimed at rewarding teachers and the teaching profession in the country.

Guinness Nigeria appoints Viola Graham-Douglas as new Corporate Relations Director

Guinness Nigeria Plc announced on Thursday the appointment of Viola Graham-Douglas as its new Corporate Relations Director. She takes over from Sesan Sobowale who left the company in March/April. Her appointment became effective on 1st June 2017.

According to information provided by the company, Mrs. Graham-Douglas began her career in the banking industry in Nigeria and worked in varied roles with reputable banks. She later joined Lafarge Africa Plc, formerly WAPCO Cement, as Treasury Manager, and subsequently became the company’s Secretary/Head of Corporate Services before moving to Lafarge Group Headquarters in Paris. She also served as Managing Director, Atlas Cement, a subsidiary of Lafarge, as well as Country Communications Director before accepting her new role as Guinness Nigeria’s Corporate Relations Director.
