Euro Global Foods & Distilleries Limited, said on Monday that it was nearing the completion of a N3bn ethanol plant, with 90% of the work already done.

The firm which is a unit of Sona Group of Companies said that the plant would enable it boost production once complete.

The company which manufactures a range of wines, spirits and mixed Ready-to-Drink spirits, bitters, among others added that it was ready to produce premium products for consumers in the spirits sub-sector, making the company less reliant on imported raw materials.

The Chairman Euro Global Foods & Distilleries Limited, Mr. A.K. Mirchandhani noted that it took the firm six years to reach the current stage, describing the facility as the largest single ethanol plant in Nigeria with a capacity to produce 120,000 litres of ethanol per day.

“Euro Global and its parent company, Sona Group, are in Nigeria for good. Satisfaction to us is knowing that our customers and distributors are happy. This is why we are constantly researching to ensure that we manufacture quality products that meet our customer’s needs and make good business for our distributors to market.

“We have taken giant strides in the last few years, from increase in product portfolio to increase in the quality of our packaging. We want to assure our partners that we will make our products available to them,” he said.
