Suntory Holdings wants its obese workers to lose weight

Japanese food and beverage firm, Suntory Holdings wants its obese employees to get into shape. The company has offered its employees a chance to go to a weight lose camp where they will learn how to eat and drink in moderation at social events and how to exercise.

Suntory’s personnel department said that the company has more ‘obese-leaning employees’ than a typical company. Therefore it has devised a means to improve the health of its employees.

Nestle buys Egypt’s Instant Coffee firm

Nestlé SA announced that it has acquired Egyptian Coffee firm Caravan Marketing Company SAE, which makes instant coffee brand Bonjorno, among others.

The terms of the transaction was not disclosed.

Caravan was started in 2003 as a marketing and distribution company and has since grown to include its own brands.

In the last five years, Nestlé has made significant investments in manufacturing and distribution facilities in Egypt at nearly one billion Egyptian pounds ($53m).
