Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL) has rolled out a rebranded version of its famous brand, Eagle Schnapps. The unveiling took place at the company’s Annual Distributors Award at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, on Thursday, 20 October.
The new Eagle Schnapps comes in 1-litre Emperor Pack, 75cl Majesty and 3cl Mini Pack.
According to the brand handlers, the need to rebrand came as a means to re-engage consumers and remind them of the brand’s proposition and value of Eagle Schnapps, which is one of the leading brands in the Schnapps segment.
At the unveiling which was performed by the Alake of EgbaLand, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, IDL also celebrated its numerous distributors by rewarding them with various cash and gift prizes valued at over N3 million.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL), Engr. Patrick Anegbe, said that the award ceremony was meant to reward the hard work and diligent distributors, without which the company would not have been able to achieve its set goals for the year.
”The yearly award has been our standout instrument with which we reward our distributors for their patronage and loyalty. In the last ten years, the scheme has grown by leaps and bounds and has further enhanced the performance and businesses of our distributors.
“I can boldly say that our brands compare favourably with any product produced anywhere in the world. That is why our company’s manufacturing processes are ISO certified. We are a major stakeholder in the recent government’s policy which encourages the Made-in Nigerian Products,” Anegbe said.
Highlighting the company’s activities in the last year, the MD said that Action Bitters and Commodore Schnapps were recently re-launched into the market just as the Squadron and Chelsea In-Bar Promotions and the Bull Fuji Talent hunt are making strides in the South West, adding that the firm has also been engaging its numerous customers through the traditional and digital platforms.
The presentation of the awards was done by the National Sales Manager, IDL, Mr. Vincent Orhomre. The cash prizes ranged from N160,000 to N2 million and gift items like single door refrigerator, 42-inch TV screen, amongst others were handed out.
Meridian Marketing Company in Port Harcourt won the Gold Award for the Best Customer of the Year, having delivered a turnover of over N500 million.
