Tony Agenmonmen, Senior Strategy Manager At Nigerian Breweries Retires

Mr. Tony Agenmonmen, Senior Strategy Manager at Nigerian Breweries Plc has retired from the company after 32 years of meritorious service.

An elaborate send-off party was held for him over the weekend at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos by the management and staff of Nigerian Breweries Plc in appreciation for his immense contribution to the company.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde described Mr. Agenmonmne as a marketing professional whose wealth of experience and advice on critical issues had benefitted him in the last three years.

“In the last three years of Agenmonmen’s career, we worked together and it was a fulfilling one because he gave me good advice and I always appreciated such advice. I want to thank you (Agenmonmen). I have learned to appreciate you not only as a man but also as a brand in the marketing world,” Vervelde said.

Mr. Agenmonmen, whose 60th birthday was this month, began working for Nigerian Breweries as a Marketing Assistant, moving up through the ranks to the position of Senior Manager, Marketing. He was appointed as the Senior Strategy Manager in March 2014, a position he held until his retirement.

Mr. Agenmonmen obtained his first degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and his MBA, from the University of Benin.

A native of Uromi, in Edo State, Mr. Agenmonmen emerged as the First Vice President of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) last year.
