GSK Nigeria shareholders vote to sell beverage business to Suntory

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc (“GSK Consumer Nigeria”) said on Monday that shareholders of the company have approved the sale of its beverage unit to Suntory Beverage & Food Nigeria Limited.

SABMiller set to increase investment in Pabod Breweries

SABMiller Plc, the global brewing giant in the midst of being acquired by its bigger rival, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has said it would increase its investment in Pabod Breweries, a Port Harcourt-based brewery it acquired in 2008 after years of neglect.

Pabod makes Grand Lager beer, Grand Malt, Castle Milk Stout, among others.

FrieslandCampina WAMCO launches Peak 456, first growing-up milk for children

FrieslandCampina WAMCO, makers of Peak milk have introduced yet another brand to the market, called “Peak 456” and targeted at children between the ages of 4 to 6 years. The company calls it the ‘growing up milk’.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Marketing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Tarang Gupta, said that “Peak 456” is one of the initiatives of the company in line with its mission to nourish Nigerians with quality dairy nutrition.
