Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) Limited has announced the appointment of Mrs. Sade Morgan as Director, Legal, Public Affairs and Communications. Mrs. Sade Morgan took over the mantle of leadership of the newly merged Legal, Public Affairs and Communications department of the leading non-alcoholic bottling giant, with effect from February 2016.

According to Ben Langat, Managing Director, NBC, “The announcement of Mrs. Sade Morgan as Director of Legal, Public Affairs and Communications, is as a result of the need to further drive excellence in managing our external legal and community relations., while upscaling the process in which NBC relates with stakeholder publics.’ Ben Langat added that Mrs. Sade Morgan would also drive the company’s reputation management process and business sustainability agenda.

Mrs. Sade Morgan joined NBC in 2014 with over 20 years of experience in legal practice and professional corporate experience across international markets covering various roles, including several years of executive team experience. Prior to her joining NBC, Mrs. Sade Morgan was Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (EEMEA) Regulatory and Marketing Counsel for British American Tobacco, based in the UK and responsible for regulatory and marketing issues across the group’s 86 country markets. She has managed development and implementation of regulatory strategies in conjunction with Corporate and Regulatory Affairs and Marketing functions aimed at delivering workable and successful code of practices with internal and external stakeholders.

Mrs. Sade Morgan obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1992, a Barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, member of the Nigeria Bar Association and the Institute of Directors. An inspirational and disciplined leader with proven ability to develop winning teams in organizations.

Over the last few months, Mrs. Sade Morgan has overseen the Public Affairs and Communications function in addition to her original role of Legal Director of the Company. Mrs. Sade Morgan is expected to sustain and further build on the already very respectable reputation of the company amongst its publics, stakeholder groups and continue to effectively manage every aspect of NBC’s corporate governance.
