Nigerian Breweries Plc has been picked as the winner of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Chief Executive Officer’s Distinguished Award for Compliance in 2015.

The coveted award also known as the ‘Most Compliant Listed Firm Award’ is presented by the NSE to a company that shows the highest degree of compliance with the rules and regulations governing the disclosure obligations of listed companies to the exchange in a given year. According to the NSE, Nigerian Breweries Plc again demonstrated its recognition for the importance of corporate governance in 2015 to win the highly desired award.

Speaking at the award ceremony, the chief executive of the NSE, Mr. Oscar Onyema, congratulated the management of Nigerian Breweries on its strict adherence to the rules and regulations of the exchange and said the company represents a sterling example of compliance to corporate governance in the country. The company had earlier won the award in 2012.

Nigerian Breweries Plc has consistently been honoured with awards relating to the capital market, including the NSE President’s Merit Award in the Brewery Sector, The NSE Quoted Company of the Year Award and The NSE CEO’s Distinguished Award for Compliance.
