Orijin Bitters wins Best Brand in Nigeria at ADVAN Awards

At the recent Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) Annual Award for marketing excellence held on Saturday, 31st October 2015, Orijin bitters from the stables of Guinness Nigeria Plc took home the top prize in the ‘Brand of The Year’ category, eclipsing other top brands such as Coca-Cola, Star, Ace Roots, among others.

The award confirms Origin as the best performing brand in the last one year. Orijins’ Brand Manager, Nnamdi Ezeani, was also named the Brand Manager of the Year to a rousing applause.

‘Lagos Cocktail Week’ is here again

The Lagos Cocktail Festival is here; first introduced in 2014 by cocktail enthusiast, Lara Rawa, CEO of Eventi Cocktails, was created to showcase the best of Lagos cocktail culture.

It is similar to Cocktail Weeks that hold in major cities around the world. The event which lasts for a week is intended to provide individuals businesses, corporations and global brands a platform to interact, connect and share brand value.

Nigerian Breweries raises N17.7bn through Commercial Paper

Beer giant, Nigerian Breweries Plc has successfully raised N17.7bn from its three-year N100bn Commercial Paper (CP) programme. The annual yield on the N17.7bn is 12.5 per cent.

The company said that the offer which closed on 8th October, with strong institutional investor participation demonstrates confidence in the Nigerian Breweries story.

The Finance Director of the company, Mark Ruttenhas, said the transaction provides the company the ability to periodically access alternative debt funding at rates mirroring money market and Treasury bill yields.
