Eastern Distilleries and Food Industries Limited, Onitsha based maker of premium spirits has launched VARGA Super Premium Dry Gin into the market.
VARGA Premium dry gin is distilled under strict industrial condition and can compete favourably with the best gins from London and elsewhere with a rich gin culture.
Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB), on Monday, Sept. 29th, established a N100 billion Commercial Paper (“CP”) programme.
It is the largest commercial paper programme to be established in Nigeria by a (non-financial institution) corporate issuer since the 2009 guidelines on commercial paper from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to the company, the launch of the inaugural commercial paper issue under the programme would kick off on or before Thursday, Oct. 8th.

Atrial fibrillation, a common type of irregular heartbeat is not caused by drinking too much coffee, according to a new study by a Swedish University and published in the journal BMC Medicine.
The study from Karolinska Institute in Sweden showed that neither men nor women faced an increased risk of atrial fibrillation.
In addition to looking at their own data, the team at the Karolinska Institute also looked at six other studies on atrial fibrillation and drinking coffee, and they all confirmed the same results.
