Health Ministry reassures Nigerians Coca-Cola products are safe, orders NBC, others to insert advisory warnings on products

The Federal Government has reassured Nigerians that the Coca-Cola products manufactured in Nigeria were safe for consumption. This was as the ministry ordered all bottling companies in the country to insert advisory warnings on all products to safeguard the health of all citizens and consumers.

The explanation followed a stakeholders meeting summoned by the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, to address related issues on the recent court judgment on the case filed by Fijabi Holdings against the Nigeria Bottling Company and NAFDAC.

SON seals warehouses belonging to wines and general merchandise importer for selling expired products

The Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) said it has sealed the warehouses of Jouf Ventures Nigeria Limited, a major importer of wines, cosmetics and distributor of general household merchandise, for selling expired products as new.

La Casera gets high marks for maintaining high manufacturing standards

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and its sister agencies on Friday gave commendations to La Casera Company, the soft drinks maker, for maintaining a high quality standard in the production of its beverages and also for being in compliance with the different regulatory agencies – National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), and Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
