President Muhammadu Buhari has lamented on the culture of waste in the country due to poor preservation of agricultural produce.
The President was speaking while meeting with the Global Chief Executive Officer of Royal FrieslandCampina of the Netherlands, Mr. Roelof Joosten, at State House, Abuja on Tuesday.
Nigeria imports fruit juices valued at N165bn annually, according to the president of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Frank Jacobs.
Speaking at a workshop organized by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in Owerri on Friday, Mr. Jacobs noted that in spite of the high rate of fruit production and a vibrant juice market, the country imported fruit concentrates.
Promasidor Nigeria Limited, maker of Cowbell milk among other products has introduced two new infant milk formulas to the Nigerian market – Cowbell Tina 1 and Cowbell Tina 2.
The products were unveiled at a Breastfeeding symposium organized by the company and titled “The Nutrition Wisdom of Infant Feeding Choices”. The event was held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
