Entries for the 8th Edition of the Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Awards has begun with the promise to celebrate and reward the winners.

While briefing the media, Corporate Adviser, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Kufre Ekenem, said it will reward journalists in three categories – the Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Reporter of the Year, Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Photo Journalist of the Year and the Nigerian Breweries Golden Pen Report of the Year.

Nigerian Breweries invests N3bn in Awo-Omamma, N18bn in Aba Breweries

The Managing Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde, disclosed that the company has invested N3bn in the upgrading of facilities at its Awo-Omamma Brewery, less than a year after it merged with Consolidated Breweries.

Mr. Vervelde disclosed this at the commissioning of a block of six classrooms and a library built and donated by Nigerian Breweries Plc to Ubachima Primary School, Awo-Omamma, Imo State.

He added that work with upgrading of Awo-Omamma Brewery has gone from a one unit production line facility, to multiple line facility, where the company now produces seven different products.

Consumers excited as Nigerian Breweries re-brands ‘More Lager Beer’

Consumers in Benue State and its environs have welcomed the re-launch of ‘More Lager Beer’, brewed by Nigerian Breweries in its Makurdi plant.

The consumers expressed their views at the consumer experience event held for the brand at Goddies Bar in Makurdi, the Benue State capital. The event was to formally re-introduce the brand that now has a new look and a new taste experience for consumers.

Nigerian Breweries invests N1bn in “More” brand

Nigerian Breweries Plc says it has invested N1bn this year towards upgrading the quality of “More” Lager Beer brand. “More” was acquired two years ago.

The company’s Corporate Affairs Adviser, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, made this known on Friday in Makurdi, Benue State.

“More” Lager Beer was purchased from the Benue State Government in 2013 by Consolidated Breweries Plc, which also was later acquired by Nigerian Breweries Plc in 2014.
