Dangote Group to expand into dairy production

Dangote Group, Nigeria’s largest company by market value, with interest in cement manufacturing, oil and gas, sugar, among others is planning to go into dairy manufacturing.

The company has confirmed plans to commence dairy farming in 2018, starting with 50,000 cows, with milk production to begin in 2019.

FG applauds FC WAMCO for pioneering local milk sourcing, development

The Federal Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD), Chief Audu Ogbeh, has commended FrieslandCampina WAMCO, makers of Peak and Three Crowns milk, for laying the groundwork for local milk sourcing and development in the country, and for uplifting the lives of Nigerian dairy farmers.

The Minister made these comments on Monday July 10, while visiting the company’s state-of-the-art local milk collection facilities in Fashola Village and Iseyin town, both in Oyo State. The centres support the company’s Dairy Development Programme (DDP).

Chellarams forms strategic partnership with DMK Group

Chellarams Plc, a diversified food, beverage and industrial chemical manufacturer and distributor announced on Thursday it had entered into a new strategic joint-venture agreement with its long-time business partner, German-based dairy producer, DMK Limited.
