“33” Export Lager marks World Friendship Day at the ‘City of Friends’

“33” Export Lager beer, a premium brand from the portfolio of Nigerian Breweries Plc, celebrated World Friendship Day at the ‘City of Friends’ in Lagos.

The event brought together friends and consumers of the brand including celebrities such as Timi Dakolo, A’rese Emokpae, Wale Ojo and many others.

The occasion which kicked-off on 28th July through 30th July took place at the beachfront behind Landmark Centre, Oniru, Lagos and featured top Nigerian entertainers such as Femi Kuti, Flavour N’abania, MI Abaga, Cynthia Morgan, Seyi Shay and many more as well as consumers of the brand. Intercontinental Distillers enters the bitters market with launch of Confam

Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL), makers of Chelsea Dry Gin and Veleta fruit juice recently unveiled the newest addition to its spirits portfolio – Confam Bitters Schnapps.

The unveiling of the alcoholic beverage took place at the popular Ojuwoye market in Mushin, Lagos State amid pomp and pageantry.

AB InBev Nigeria donates patrol vehicles to Police, Road Safety in Anambra

Onitsha-based Intafact Beverages Limited, a subsidiary of global brewer AB InBev, on Wednesday donated six Hilux patrol trucks to the Nigerian Police, Anambra State and Delta State Command and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

At the handover ceremony at the company’s facility in Onitsha, Andries du Plessis, Managing Director, AB InBev Nigeria and Ghana, noted that the donation of vehicles was in keeping with AB InBev’s commitment to creating a better world.

Chi launches Hollandia Choco Malt 3-in-1 Ready-to-Drink

Chi Limited, a leading Nigerian juice and dairy maker has unveiled a new product called Hollandia Choco Malt, a ready-to-drink chocolate, milk and malt drink to the market.

The product also referred to as “3-in-1 Yo” is said to appeal to a youthful consumer segment and is an innovative blend of chocolate, milk and malt that comes in trendy pack sizes of 135ml and 315ml. It can be consumed immediately after opening and delivers instant nutrition to consumers.

According to the company, Hollandia ChocoMalt drink is rich in vitamins and minerals, takes away the hassles and inconvenience involved in preparing Choco-based beverage drink the traditional way.

Coca-Cola HBC half-year results rise on volume growth, price increases

Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC), the parent company of the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) and bottler in 27 other European countries, on Thursday reported first-half results (Jan – June 2017). The company said that revenue grew 5.6% to €3.2bn ($3.77bn), up from €3bn in 2016. Total volumes rose 1.4%.

The group said that its good performance was driven by volume growth, improved packaging mix and price increases.

Malta Guinness launches “Go Get it” consumer promo

Malta Guinness, a malt drink from the stables of Guinness Nigeria Plc, has embarked on a nationwide consumer promo to rejig the brand and boost sales.

Rising consumer demand, favourable share trends drive Beam Suntory’s half-year results

Beam Suntory, Inc, the alcoholic beverage arm of Japanese group Suntory Holdings said that revenue for the first-half of 2017 was driven by rising consumer demand and favourable share trends across key markets.

The company said that sales grew in the mid-single-digits, driven by double-digit global gains from Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark bourbons.

Cost savings and product quality enhancements boost Suntory Beverages half-year results

Japanese beverage firm, Suntory Beverage & Food Limited said on Tuesday that half-year sales and profit for 2017 was lifted by focus on strengthening its brands and creating new demand as well as managing cost structure and product quality improvements.

The company which makes Lucozade and Ribena said that revenue for its non-alcoholic beverages and foods grew 1.7% in the half-year through end of June to ¥685.7bn yen ($6.2bn), from ¥674.4bn ($6.09bn) in the same period in 2016.
