Goldberg unveils Isedowo empowerment scheme in Ile Ife

Goldberg Lager beer, a brand of Nigerian Breweries Plc, on Thursday launched the much anticipated Isedowo Youth Empowerment Scheme at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II amid fanfare.

The event brought together other prominent Obas and chiefs from the Southwest as his Majesty Oba Ogunwusi commended Nigerian Breweries for the initiative which he said is a bold step at improving the lot of small scale entrepreneurs in the South West region.

NBC hosts fifth energy efficiency workshop

Nigerian Bottling Company (“NBC”), the bottler of Coca-Cola products in Nigeria hosted the fifth pilot Energy Efficiency Network (EEN) workshop for industries in Nigeria.

The event took place at the company’s Ikeja, Lagos plant on 17th August 2017, and attracted industry stakeholders and participants from other companies in the network and engaging in a series of practice-driven discussions focused on energy efficiency and aimed at supporting the participating companies to identify opportunities for sustainable energy cost savings.

Alomo Bitters gets a new look

Alomo Bitters, the flagship brand of Ghana-based Kasapreko Company Limited was unveiled on Friday in Lagos with a new look as the brand seeks to consolidate its position in the Nigerian bitters market.

At a media parlay held at the Renaissance Hotel, G.R.A. Ikeja, Lagos, the company said that the 750ml and 200ml bottles now come with a new Kasapreko tamper proof to help customers distinguish the brand from its rivals.

The new Alomo Bitters now has a holographic security-like shiny strip, similar to that found on currency notes and forms part of the plastic wrap over the bottle cap.

FBRA urges sectoral partnership to advance industrial waste recycling

The Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA) has called on stakeholders in different industries to help set up sector specific alliances to assist with the recovery and recycling of waste items in their respective packaging streams.

According to FBRA, it will ensure the success of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy of the Federal Government.

Nestle Nigeria reaffirms commitment to youth entrepreneurship as it marks International Youth Day

Nestle Nigeria Plc said in a statement on Sunday that it is committed to providing support to young people by fostering youth entrepreneurship and helping the talented ones through training and job opportunities.

Intercontinental Distillers enters the bitters market with launch of Confam

Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL), makers of Chelsea Dry Gin and Veleta fruit juice recently unveiled the newest addition to its spirits portfolio – Confam Bitters Schnapps.

The unveiling of the alcoholic beverage took place at the popular Ojuwoye market in Mushin, Lagos State amid pomp and pageantry.

AB InBev Nigeria donates patrol vehicles to Police, Road Safety in Anambra

Onitsha-based Intafact Beverages Limited, a subsidiary of global brewer AB InBev, on Wednesday donated six Hilux patrol trucks to the Nigerian Police, Anambra State and Delta State Command and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).

At the handover ceremony at the company’s facility in Onitsha, Andries du Plessis, Managing Director, AB InBev Nigeria and Ghana, noted that the donation of vehicles was in keeping with AB InBev’s commitment to creating a better world.

Nigerian Breweries’ Corporate Affairs Adviser , Mr. Kufre Ekanem, told reporters at the kickoff ceremony, which was held in Lagos recently, that the award was introduced to promote professionalism and objective reportage of events in Nigeria.
