The Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday raided an illegal brewery in the Egbe-Afa, Igbobo area of Ikorodu, where counterfeit malt drinks and stout are produced.

A team of investigators from the Lagos State Police Command led by the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal arrested five suspects.

The illegal drinks factory produced malt drinks, stout and Ethanol which is then transferred into trucks through a pumping mechanism, then transported to another location where they are bottled.

According to Imohimi, the suspects will face further questioning to determine where the drinks are bottled and sold.
